Working Down Under - PALM Scheme Training.
A micro-credential (MC) or short course program built specifically for PALM Scheme workers and the employers who support them.
Designed to align with PALM Scheme Tier 2 funding, priced at $600 per worker per year, with reimbursement typically covering the full cost where applications are approved.

1 program. 3 levels. 1 per year.
Each micro-credential: 4 modules | 15 hours | 6 weeks | 2 live virtual sessions | multiple language options
MC-1 — Foundations
The starting point. Covers the essentials: what things are, why they matter, and what to do. For workers new to the program, whether just arrived or already in Australia.
MC-2 — Applied Skills
Builds on Foundations with more nuance and a peer mentoring layer. Workers progress straight through, no need to return home between levels.
MC-3 — Impact
The advanced level. Focused on mentoring others, advocating for change, and building lasting impact in the workplace and at home.
Workers are not required to start at Year 1. They can commence at the level most appropriate to their current stage of their PALM journey.
4 Pillars. Every micro-credential.
The same 4 modules run through every level. The content deepens as workers progress.
Financial
01
Managing money, banking, superannuation, and sending income home safely.
Career
02
Workplace environment and law, WHS, communication, conduct, and career development.
Wellbeing
03
Physical and mental health, isolation, fatigue, and accessing support services.
Social
04
Australian culture, building community, maintaining home ties, and reintegration planning.
Every module within every MC is designed to be understood by workers with different language abilities. Translations available.
